Teaching Staff
The pedagogical staff numbers 408 teachers, including 71 Doctors of Science, 59 professors, 124 associate professors, and 261 Candidates of Science. The staff includes one Corresponding Member of AMS of Ukraine, 8 Honored Workers of Science and Technology of Ukraine, 3 Honored Inventors of Ukraine, and 4 Honored Physicians of Ukraine.
Teaching
The student population of the faculty is over 3000, including more than 1000 foreign students. Classes usually consists of 8-12 persons. There are 10 lecture-halls equipped with modern demonstration apparatus. Practical classes and seminars are held in the laboratories and thematic classrooms, while clinical training takes place in the wards and the laboratories of functional and instrumental diagnostics. Since 2006 the “Z-system” of training has been introduced, by which students in their first years learn clinical aspects together with theoretical subjects. Different departments are located at different locations around Ternopil city.

Qualifications
Ternopil National Medical University is listed in the FAIMER (International Medical Education) directory under ECFMG and the WHO (World Health Organization) directory of Medical Universities/Schools. TNMU’s degree is recognized by WHO, US Education Department, General Medical Council of England, and in EU countries.
Since 2005 students are assessed according to the European Credit Test System (ECTS) credit-module system, which will allow the diplomas granted by the University to be converted in all countries of the European Union.
Faculties
The university contains the following faculties: Medicine (6 years – MD program), Dentistry (5 years), Pharmacy (5 years), and Nursing (2–4 years). Postgraduate programs are also offered in different fields.
The theoretical departments of the faculty occupy four educational scientific institutes, which are independent structural-functional subdivisions of the University: Institute of Morphology, Institute of Biomedical Problems, Institute of Modeling and Pathologic Processes Analyzing, and M. Skakun Institute of Pharmacology, Hygiene and Medical Biochemistry. There are 12 clinical departments, based at city and regional medical establishments in Ternopil.
Postgraduate Education
Postgraduate can study for Master’s Degree or a PhD. Other continuing education includes a Training Internship Program, and provision for clinical specialization.

Ternopil National Medical University is the first university in Ukraine to adopt the American Nursing Program. In the American Nursing School and International Nursing School, teaching follows the American Nursing School curriculum. TNMU collaborates with the University of South Carolina Upstate (USA) to exchange academic programs for nursing students. The Nursing School offers two degrees:
Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) – two-year program
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) – four-year program (or two years for those who already have a nursing degree)
After graduation students are eligible to take the National Council License Examination (NCLEX) and Commission on Graduates of Foreign Nursing Schools (CGFNS) for registered nurses to start working and living in USA. After obtaining associate degree, students can transfer to USA for bachelor’s degree.

The campus provides convenient accommodation for international students, interns, Master degree students, resident physicians, Ph.D. students, preparatory course students and post-graduate students for the duration of their studies at the university as well as applicants during entrance exams.
The educational, nationally patriotic, cultural and sports activities of students within the campus are coordinated by Campus administration. It also controls the room tidiness, housekeeping, and enforcement of safety rules by the students.
The dormitory has a total of 206 rooms and a total housing capacity of 508 persons.

There are 3 suites, a kitchen, and a common room, with essential equipment and a utility room in each wing. The suit contains a toilet, a shower, 2 double occupancy rooms, and 2 triple occupancy rooms.

The hostel of Vinnitsa National Medical University is located at 2-3 minutes of walking distance from the university’s campus.
The rooms at the hostel are fully furnished and in every room a central heating system is present.
Rooms are available on the sharing basis in the university.

Study Conditions
Training of foreign students is conducted as per plans and syllabus of the university. Ivano-Frankivsk NMU provides excellent hostel accommodation for students coming from abroad. There are a total of six buildings with a capacity to accommodate 4000 students. The rooms are furnished with every modern amenity. The toilet is attached with each apartment and on each floor; there is a common hall as well as common kitchen. There is also the provision of gym and table tennis court.

Kyiv medical university of UAFM is a Ukrainian higher learning institution established in 1992, the university has trained over 10000 health personnel -mainly general practitioner, dentist and pharmacists. As of august 2015, about 1200 foreign students study at KMU. 5. Zagreb ( Croatia )- Skrypnyk Z.D. ( vice rector , Head of normal physiology , biophysics, medical biology and biochemistry )- participation in scientific seminar.
6. Macau (China) – Pokanevych Alexander V. (President of KMU UAFM) – participated in the second inter-regional seminar WHO registration and licensing practices of folk and alternative medicine.
Accreditation and Licensing
The Kyiv medical university of UAFM is accredited by the Ministry of education and science of Ukraine with the highest level of accreditation for a higher educational institute in Ukraine.

Dnipropetrovsk State Medical Academy (DSMA) is one of the oldest higher educational institution of Ukraine having 4th (the highest) level of accreditation in Ukraine.
Dnipropetrovsk State Medical Academy (DSMA) is having the highest (the 4th) level of accreditation among all universities of Ukraine. In 1922 the Dnipropetrovsk State Medical Academy (DSMA) organized and edited two scientific medical journal: “Ekaterynoslavsky Medical Journal” and “New Surgical Archive”. When the Academy created a single scientific society that was theoretical, surgical, therapeutic, orthopedic, trauma and pediatric sections.Dnipropetrovsk State Medical University is the only in all over Ukraine, providing training to students in all seven faculties and preparatory department for foreign citizens.
Academy scientists actively participate in international congresses and symposia. Over the last 5 years, Academy defended the 15 doctoral and 167 master’s theses. Performance of graduates of Dnipropetrovsk State Medical Academy (DSMA) was 100%. Academy received 265 patients, Published 6507 articles, 516 of them were internationally published. Accommodation
The academy provides accommodation for students in the hostels. In total DMA has 7 comfortable hostels located in different regions of the city, which are connected by advanced transport structure (bus, tramway, and trolley-bus). The hostels have a total area of 45422 sq. m. and can accommodate 2768 students. Foreign students live in the hostels No 1, 5 and 7.
The hostel buildings are of a modern block type and consist of the rooms for 2-3 students with all the necessary conveniences. All rooms are well-organized and furnished with a bed, a desk and a chair, provided with cold and hot running water, central heating, Internet access and suitable lighting for both study and relaxation. The territory of the hostels is protected and patrolled by officers of guard service. In the hostel, each room is attached to the kitchen suitable for students to cook food on their own taste. Students will need to supply their kitchen utensils.
Meals and provisions may be bought from various shops and supermarkets around. There are also several students’ canteens and cafes on the territory of the academy.
