Yerevan State Medical University is centrally located in the capital of Armenia, Yerevan. It is considered as one of the Top Medical Universities in Armenia, leading with a number of 31,000 graduates till date. There are about 8,000 students in 6 faculties of the State Medical University after Heratsi. Approximately, 1184 students are from various nations. It is considered to be the best University for studying MD in Armenia (equivalent to MBBS in India). Teaching and research activities are organized in more than 100 chairs, leading clinical bases and research centers in Yerevan.
University has about 1,100 lecturers out of which, 171 are well-qualified Doctors of Sciences, 504 are Candidates of Sciences, 7 Academicians of the RANAS; who perform scientific & pedagogical work at the University.

Mkhitar Gosh Armenian-Russian International University established in 1996 is located in Yerevan, the capital city if Armenia. The Medical University After Saint Tereza was founded in Yerevan in 1992 by Larisa Hambartsumyan and has been the first and the only one in its kind in Armenia. In 1996 the university received a letter of blessing from Mother Teresa. Rector of the University, Larisa Hambartsumyan is a member of the International Orem Society (IOS) for Nursing Science and Scholarship.
The foundation of this educational institution became the basis for creation of highly qualified medical workers in Armenia, whose compassion and humaneness as well as sympathy for the seek people serve as the bases for their moral-ethical activities.

Established in 1990 by Academician Levon Harutyunyan, it has now 5400 undergraduates, 6000 alumni, 300 educators (among them 48 Professors, 64 PhD, 12 Academicians). The college was allowed state accreditation in 2001. The resources at Yerevan Haybusak University are Medicine, Economics, Humanities and International relations.
